Tbilisi International Festival of Theatre
It’s almost impossible for the theatre directors, actors, workers and those who simply love theatre to think about the past year and not recall Tbilisi International Festival of Theatre (Tbs international). The festival opened on September 14 with the performance The Infernal Comedy: Confessions of a Serial Killer, where Hollywood star John Malkovich played the starring role accompanied by the music of the Vienna Academy Orchestra.
With its tremendously expanded geographic, Tbs international hosted troupes from Austria, Israel, Great Britain, Turkey, Germany, Japan, Switzerland and Russia. In 2011, the festival became a member of the Union of European Festivals (EFAA), which counts more than the 50 years of history.
